I am visiting Japan for the first time and will be travelling to Kyoto. I understand that Kyoto has many beautiful temples and shrines. I am particularly interested in visiting Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion). How do I ask for directions to Kinkakuji in Japanese?

When you want to ask for directions in Japan, you can use the phrase “place ni iku ni wa dou ikeba ii desuka?”, which means “How can I get to place?” Just replace Kinkakuji with other places you’re interested in.
